GOLF: Ferguson, Carlson, Ogilvie earn All-Conference

Du Quoin's Marisa Fergsuon and Pinckneyville's Ellie Carlson and Trista Ogilvie each placed in the top-ten at Tuesday's Southern Illinois River-to-River Conference Golf Tournament at Hickory Ridge Golf Course, earning All-Conference medals for their performances in the Mississippi Division side of the event.

Ferguson shot an 18-hole score of 90, good for third place in the Mississippi Division and just three strokes off of the lead. Carterville's Avery Rea and Nashville's Madison Frerker finished tied with an 87.

Carlson shot 103, good for seventh place, Ogilvie shot 108 and was part of a three-way tie for tenth. The Lady Panthers were fourth as a team, getting a 127 from Erica Crews and a 130 from Taylor Wildermuth to finish with a total score of 468.

Nashville finished two strokes ahead of Carterville, 392-394, to claim first in the Mississippi Division. Massac County shot 344 to win in the Ohio Division.

The Lady Panthers, and the PCHS boys, travel to Carterville on Wednesday.
