Loveda Roberts

Loveda Roberts, age 87, of Harrisburg, passed away at 4:15 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2013, at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.

She was born on Sept. 25, 1925, in Saline County to the late Freeman and Virgie (Banks) Fulkerson. On March 27, 1944, she married Henry Earl "Pete" Roberts and he preceded her in death Sept. 20, 1992. She was a homemaker and member of the East Alton General Baptist Church.

Loveda is survived by a sister-in-law, June Fulkerson of Harrisburg; nephew Mark and wife Sherry Fulkerson of Harrisburg and several other nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Henry "Pete" Roberts; two daughters: Janet Kay and Linda Sue in infancy and her brother Bob Fulkerson.

Private family graveside service was held 10 a.m. Monday, April 1, 2012, at Butler Cemetery. The Rev. Barry Bascom officiated. Reed Funeral Chapel was entrusted with arrangements. Condolences may be sent to the family at the internet site of www.reedfunerchapel.com.
