OBITUARY: Wanda F. Nichols

Wanda F. Nichols, 81, resident of Eldorado, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Ferrell Hospital.

She was born in Eldorado July 22, 1931, to the late Mick Hamilton and Ida (Skelton) Hamilton Johnson. She was a LPN and worked at Pearce Hospital and later for Fountainview Nursing Home. She was a member of the Eldorado Church of God.

On June 12, 1950, Wanda married James D. Nichols who survives.

In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters, Deborah L. (Stephen) Blount of Weiser, Idaho, Gayla (Kenny) Roe of Junction; two brothers, Jesse (Joan) Hamilton of Bethalto, Roy (Barbara) Hamilton of Warsaw, Mo.; two sisters, Bessie Stout of Moro, Shirley (Kenneth) Watson of Eldorado; five grandchildren, Isaac Oxford, Daniel (Cecilia) Oxford, Sarah Oxford, Julie Roe, Allen Roe; four great-grandchildren, Ricky Oxford, Kaitlyn Oxford, Faith Oxford, Elizabeth Oxford; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Bob and Von Nichols of Eldorado, Sandy Franklin of Louisville, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Mills. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday April 7, 2013, at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with Pastor David Mays officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday April 6, 2013, at the funeral home.
