William C. Kodie

William C. 'Bill' Kodie, 68, of Tamaroa, passed away at 2:23 a.m., Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the Friendship Manor Health Care Center in Nashville, Ill.

Bill had worked as a courier-delivery person. He was of the Catholic faith.

He was born April 11, 1945 at Chicago, Ill., the son of Charles and Anne L. (Nowakowski) Kociszewski-Kodie.

He is survived by three brothers - Kenneth Kodie and wife Priscilla of Carpentersville, Ill., Ronald Kodie of Pinckneyville, Ill. and Wayne Cholewa of Santa Fe, N.M., one sister-in-law - Marilyn Kodie of St. Charles, Ill. and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers - Maurice Kodie and Norman Kodie.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, May 25, 2013 at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa with Fr. Oliver Nwachukwu officiating.

Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.

Burial will be in the St. Charles Cemetery at Du Bois, Ill. at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, friends may make memorials to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or the St. Charles Catholic Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
