OBITUARY: Robert W. 'Bob' Bradley
Robert W. "Bob" Bradley Jr., 89, resident of Eldorado, passed away Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.
Bob was born in Eldorado May 31, 1924, to the late Robert W. Bradley Sr. and Ruth (Dillard) Gladson. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He married the former Velma A. Rose who preceded him in death March 18, 2011. They were married 62 years. He was a member of the Eldorado First United Methodist Church.
Bob is survived by two sons, Robert L. (Brenda) Bradley of Eldorado, Richard (Leota) Stricklin of Georgia; a daughter-in-law, Kay Stricklin of Eldorado; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a son, Randy Stricklin; two brothers, James and Gerald; and two grandsons.
Graveside Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday Sept. 12, 2013, at Wolf Creek Cemetery in Eldorado with the Rev. John Cross officiating. There will be no visitation; those attending should go directly to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Eldorado 1st United Methodist Church and will be accepted at the cemetery or mailed to 1007 3rd Street, Eldorado, Ill. 62930.
