OBITUARY: George Washington Goolsby

George Washington Goolsby, 72 of Harrisburg, passed away 1:25 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, at the Shawnee Rose Care Center in Harrisburg.

He was born on Jan. 7, 1942, in Harrisburg, the son of Joseph and Nettie Goolsby. George was a truck driver and mechanic.

He is survived by three daughters, Rachelle and Butch Forrester of Kankakee, Angela Gipson of Marion, Lindsay Beasley of Rosiclare; one brother, Roy Goolsby of Harrisburg; eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.

George was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Ida Bebout, Ruby Bebout, Ethel Bebout, Margaret Smock; three brothers, Elmer, Clyde and Jim Goolsby.

There will be no services. Vickery Funeral Chapel of Ridgway is in charge of arrangements.
