OBITUARY: Edna Mae Jennings-DeBock

Edna Mae Jennings-DeBock, 92, of Marion, passed away 11:33 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, at Parkway Manor Nursing Home in Marion.

Edna was born Aug. 30, 1921, in Sikeston, Mo., to Estel and Stella (White) Santy. She was first married to Ralph Lee Jennings Sr. and he preceded her in death on Aug. 10, 1994. She later married Al DeBock and he also preceded her in death on Aug, 30, 1998.

Edna worked many years as cook and a waitress. She attended Third Baptist Church in Marion before her health began to fail.

She is survived by her five children, Linda (George) Teagarden of Harrisburg, Shirley (Larry) Davis of El Reno, Okla., Ralph Jennings Jr. of Marion, Jerry Wayne (Crystal) Jennings of Marion and Ronnie (Georgia) Jennings of Marion; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Annette Jennings; and two sisters, Ruth Cagle and Juanita Santy

Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City with George Teegarden officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Creek Cemetery.
