Morean Henshaw

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Morean Henshaw, a resident of North Mill Street in Carrier Mills, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at 12:25 p.m. Thursday, July 1, 2010.

She was born in Arkansas to the late Lewis and Mary Lea (Meadows) Elms. On April 8, 1943, she married A.J. Henshaw, who preceded her in death on July 16, 2008.

Morean was a seamstress and retail sales clerk, working with her late husband at the Henshaw&#39;s Clothing Store in Carrier Mills.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Carrier Mills and the ladies auxiliary of the Harrisburg Medical Center.

Survivors include three sons, Michael (Lavon) Henshaw of Harrisburg, Harry Henshaw of Miami, Fla. and Brent Henshaw of Denver, Colo.; six grandchildren, Brad Henshaw, Jarrod Henshaw, Sara Powell, Aaron Henshaw, Rebecca Henshaw and Todd Stevens; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Loye Elms; and sister, Alta Matika.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 3, 2010, at the First United Methodist Church, 109 E. Washington St., Carrier Mills with the Rev. Stan Irvin officiating. Visitation will be after 9 a.m. at the church.

Please omit flowers. For those who desire, memorials may be made in her memory to the Carrier Mills First United Methodist Church Building Fund, United States Humane Society or to the Nature Conservancy Organization. Envelopes will be available at the church.
