Doris Jean Camp
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mrs. Doris Jean Camp, 84, of Raleigh, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2009 at Forest Park Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.
She was the widow of Cecil Eugene "Gene" Camp, who preceded her in death on March 9, 2006.
Doris was born in Hamburg on Jan. 14, 1925, the daughter of the late Guy and Virginia (Jones) Miller.
She was a lifetime member of First Presbyterian Church of Eldorado.
She worked as a guidance counselor and taught at Eldorado, Galatia and Ridgway.
She was a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority, and the Presbyterian Church ladies Quilters.
Doris is survived by a son, Gary E. (Evelyn) Camp of Manchester, Mo.
Doris is also survived by two grandchildren, Gary Jose Camp of Chicago and Lana Evelyn Camp of St. Louis, Mo.; brother and sister-in-law, O.B. and Rae Camp of Eldorado; sister-in-law, Martha Camp of Eldorado; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Doris was preceded in death by a brother, Eldon Miller; brother-in-law, Gerald Camp; and two sisters-in-law, Thelma Harris and Mildred Cox.
Funeral services will be at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home, Eldorado, at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2009, with the Rev. Walter Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Lindale Cemetery.
Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2009, at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Marion Medical Mission which held a very special place in Doris' and her husband Gene's hearts. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
