OBITUARY: Darrell Duane "Butch" Pittman

Darrell Duane "Butch" Pittman, 67 of Ridgway, passed away 8:53 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.

He was born on March 19, 1946, in Kankakee, the son of Eugene and Pearl (Ingleton) Pittman. On Oct. 22, 1966 he married Sheila Faye Thomas who survives.

He worked as the maintenance supervisor for Gilster-Mary Lee Corporation. Butch loved to fish and he entered in many fishing tournaments.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sheila Pittman of Ridgway; one son, Chad Pittman of Equality; two sisters, Cinda Barger of Springfield and Phyllis Van Der Weele of Trafford, Penn.

Butch was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Carolyn Maxine Johnston and Eunice Oberlin.

Visitation for Butch will be held 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Ridgway. Funeral service will be at the funeral chapel 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, with Pastor Duke Williams officiating. Burial will be at the Jackson Cemetery near Ridgway. Donations in Butch's memory may be made to the Ridgway Golden Circle.
