Obituary: Mary Carolyn Bradley

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mary Carolyn Bradley, 92, of rural Ridgway, passed away on Monday, Nov. 21, 2011, at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.

Carolyn was born in rural Omaha on Oct. 20, 1919, to the late George Elmus and Teresa (Hemphill) West. On April 9, 1938, Carolyn married the love of her life, Curtis Bradley. She spent her life on the family farm near Ridgway, serving her Lord, family, church and community with love and graciousness. Carolyn was a member of the Ridgway First Baptist Church, Order of Eastern Star and Gallatin County Home Extension. She enjoyed playing the piano and was the pianist at New Hope General Baptist Church for many years. Having her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren gathered together gave her great joy.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of over 70 years, Curtis W. Bradley; five brothers, George, Donald, Ivan, Harold and Max West; and a great-grandson, Benjamin Dillard.

Survivors include her children, Marilyn Sue Dillard (Gary) of Bowling Green, Ky., William C. Bradley (Phyllis) of rural Omaha and Alice Roberta Myers (Max) of Franklin, Ind.; four grandchildren, Curt Bradley (Bruce) of New Haven, Carl Bradley (Christine) of Urbana, Michele Boling (Mark) of Bowling Green, Ky. and Brad Dillard (Jennifer) of Brentwood, Tenn.; and seven great-grandchildren, David and Amanda Bradley of New Haven, Curtis Lee and Clara Bradley of Urbana, Bradley and Chris Boling of Bowling Green, Ky. and Samuel Dillard of Brentwood, Tenn. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at the Cox and Son Funeral Home in Ridgway from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 25, 2011. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, at the Cox and Son Funeral Home in Ridgway with the Rev. Rob Gallion and the Rev. Randy Davis officiating. Interment will be in the Jackson Cemetery near Ridgway.
