OBITUARY: Bobby Lee Gulley

Bobby Lee Gulley, 82, of Carrier Mills, passed away at 4:20 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, at the VA Medical Center in Marion.

He was born Feb. 7, 1930, near Mitchellsville, the son of Clayborn and Bessie Hortin Gulley. He married Doris McKenzie and she preceded him in death. He was retired from the Saline County Highway Department. He was an army veteran.

Surviving Bob are a son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Kerri Gulley of Carrier Mills; two brothers, Alfred Gulley of Harrisburg and DeWayne Gulley of Carrier Mills; three sisters, Phyllis Seets of Stonefort, Beatrice Blackman of Stonefort and Hanna Murphy of Harrisburg; two grandchildren, Clayton Gulley and Addie (Jake) Swift; and one great-grandson, Isaac Swift.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Doris; and three brothers, Kelly, Earl Wayne and Jack Gulley.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at the J.M. Weirauch Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Nenonen officiating and burial following in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
