OBITUARY: Rosemary Hamilton

Rosemary Hamilton, 77, of Galatia passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at her residence.

She was born on Nov. 11, 1935, in Raleigh to Lemuel and Nellie (Karnes) Pittman. Rosemary was a sales clerk for the ROC One station in Galatia for 17 years and also Cousin Freds in Eldorado. She was a member of the Galatia First Baptist Church.

Rosemary is survived by two sons, Gerald and Jeffery Hamilton; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Victor Pittman; several stepbrothers and stepsisters.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jack Hamilton; and several stepbrothers and stepsisters.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2013, at the Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia with visitation from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home. The Rev. Derek Downs will officiate with burial in the Raleigh Masonic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Galatia First Baptist Church Missions Fund.
