Obituary: Oberene Noles

Oberene Noles, 95, of Carmi, formerly of Eldorado, died June 17, 2015 at the Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi.

She was born in Eldorado on January 1, 1920 to the late Luke Ratley Sr. and Mae (Fletcher) Ratley. On October 31, 1970, she married James Wilford Noles and he preceded her in death on August 24, 2010. Oberene was a member of the First Christian Church for over 50 years and a member of the Eldorado Eastern Star.

Surviving are: Two daughters: Sonia Roe of Junction and Diane Reasons of Spring Hill, Texas. Four Step sons: Larry Gene Noles of McLeansboro, Alan Ray Noles of McLeansboro, James Lee Noles of South Chicago Heights and Michael Kent Noles of Stillwater, Oklahoma. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren and several step grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 20, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the Watson Funeral Home with Mike Fields and Dennis Robison officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20, 2015 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial may be made in her memory to Eldorado First Christian Church and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
