Eckles Louise Tanner

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Eckles Louise Tanner, 85, Harrisburg, died 2:22 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2011, at Select Specialty Hospital, Evansville, Ind.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills with the Rev. Scott Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Visitation is 11 a.m. to service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

She was born on April 20, 1925, to the late Earl and Nellie (Dunning) Hill. She married James W. Tanner, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 1979.

She was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Whittington of Eldorado and Linda Tucker of Harrisburg; a son, Mickey Tanner of Harrisburg; four grandchildren, Jimmy Whittington, Sandy Stewart, Floyd Stewart and Kim Stewart; 19 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, four brothers, a granddaughter and three great-grandsons.
