OBITUARY: Arthur Eugene “Gene” Glover

Arthur Eugene "Gene" Glover, 70, resident of Eldorado, passed away Friday, March 14, 2014, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.

Gene was born Nov. 17, 1943, in Chicago to the late Jack H. Glover and Medie Gearin) Glover, of Mayfield, Ky. He married the former Betty Jean Butts who survives.

In addition to his mother and wife, Gene is survived by two sons, Patrick (Kim) Glover of Barrington Hills and Larry (Shannon) Glover of Eldorado; three brothers, Neal Glover of St. Charles, Robert Glover of Mayfield, Ky., Michael (Brenda) Glover of Belvidere; two sisters, Jackie Walker and Karen Campbell both of Mayfield, Ky.; and six grandchildren.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Tommy.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with the Rev. Mike Weaver officiating. Visitation will be 5 p.m. Tuesday to service time. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
