HERESY POTTER -- While they are the minority, they are far from silent about their reservations - and sometimes downright outrage - regarding the Harry Potter series. Detractors have tried to get the book banned in some states, to whisk them off library shelves and to bounce them out of schools. The more vehement have been known to burn them. The American Library Association announced in 2006 the Harry Potter series topped the list of most banned books from 2000 to 2005. J.K. BECKHAM -- Eric Eiss saw Pele revitalize soccer in the United States when he joined the New York Cosmos 32 years ago. The Rockton Hononegah girls soccer coach says David Beckham can do the same Saturday when he is scheduled to begin his Major League Soccer career for the Los Angeles Galaxy. "I think Beckham's arrival will be equally as important, but on a different level," Eiss said. Beckham, who joined the team last Friday, is nursing a sore left ankle and is listed as day-to-day.
