Janie Faye (Renshaw) McCoy

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Janie Faye (Renshaw) McCoy, went to be with her Lord at 11:10 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis Mo.

Janie was born on Sept. 16, 1944, in Eldorado to Charles A. Renshaw and Francis Cunningham Uzzle, who preceded her in death. In 1972, she married Fairfield Fire Chief Larry McCoy, who also precedes her in death, as does her stepdaughter, Jay McCoy.

Survivors include Janie's son, Mike Waters and wife Lana; grandsons, Max and Reid Waters, all of Ephrata, Wash.; brothers, Kent Renshaw and wife Marinda of Mount Vernon, John Uzzle and wife Lisa, their son Mathew and daughter Stephanie Slayton, all of Marion; stepmother, Betty Renshaw of Mount Vernon; and special friend, Dr. Steve Kotner of Eldorado.

Janie was a graduate of Eldorado High school and Southern Illinois University. She worked for Southern Illinois Lumber Company in Fairfield for a number of years. Janie was a member of New Beginnings Church in Fairfield and also enjoyed attending Orchardville Community Church. Janie will be missed by her family and friends, along with many Fairfield neighbors who frequented her kitchen table.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010, at Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield with services held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010. Janie's uncle, the Rev. Robert L. Renshaw, and family friend, the Rev. Gary Dave
