Obituary: Pinkney C. Thomas
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Pinkney C. Thomas, 71, of Harrisburg, passed away at 3:03 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, 2011, at Harrisburg Medical Center.
According to Pinkney's wishes, she will be cremated and no services will be held.
Pinkney was born on June 4, 1940, in Stuhgart, Ark. to Charlie and Chlela (Broughton) Blue.
She is survived by her sons, Chris S. Gillespie (Ida N. Spears), Whit A. Gillespie and Frank E. and Shelly Gillespie Sr., all of Harrisburg; three grandchildren, Amber N. Gillespie of Arkansas and Misty L. Spears and Frank E. Gillespie Jr., both of Harrisburg; three great-grandchildren, Eric, Trace and Ella; and a brother, Sam Reynolds of Nevada.
Pinkney was preceded by her parents; husband; sister; and sons, Jay Lee Thomas, Lee Inman Gillespie and Arthur Lee Thomas.
She loved to garden and drive 18-wheel tractor-trailers. She will be missed.
Arrangements are in the charge of Blue Funeral Home, Marion.
