Prep Volleyball:Eagles clipped at Hamilton Co.; CMSF falls to Crab Orchard
The Eldorado volleyball team lost in straight sets, falling to Hamilton County 25-12 and 25-17.
Mary Mitchell finished 12-for-13 on spikes with three kills and was 4-for-5 on serves with five points, two aces, two blocks and 20 digs.
Rachel Durham went 28-for-30 on sets and 6-for-6 on spikes. She was 7-for-7 on serves with six points, one ace and eight digs.
Brooklynn Peavler was 3-for-4 on sets and 3-for-4 on spikes, finishing with six points and 14 digs, while Abby Steed was 13-for-13 on sets with 19 spikes, eight kills, seven serving points, five blocks and 15 digs.
Kaitlyn McGuire had a spike and six digs, while Jordan Bailey was 5-for-6 on sets, 8-for-10 on spikes with one point, two blocks and six digs. Whitney McGuire was 1-for-1 on serves with a point.
Eldorado will be at the Massac County Tournament, starting Saturday in Metropolis.
CMSF falls to Crab Orchard
The Carrier Mills-Stonefort volleyball team fell in three sets to Crab Orchard, losing the first match 25-15 and rebounded to take the second 25-19. The Wildcats fell just short in a 25-23 third match for the loss.
