Cubs notebook: Marquis out of rotation

Jason Marquis is out of the starting rotation for the National League Division Series.

Manager Lou Piniella said Tuesday that the Cubs would go to a three-man rotation - Carlos Zambrano, Ted Lilly and Rich Hill. If the Cubs need to play Game 4 on Sunday at Wrigley Field, Zambrano will go on three days' rest. If a Game 5 is needed Tuesday back at Chase Field, Lilly will go on his regular four days' rest.
