Saline County COVID-19 cases continue to increase

ELDORADO - The number of positive COVID-19 cases continues to rise as Saline County faces the possibility of seeing harsher restrictions put into place.

Monday, Egyptian Health Department reported an additional 13 positive cases reported from Saline, plus three from Gallatin County.

Cases reported Monday include:

a male, under the age of 10, at home and in isolation

a female in her 20s, case status in progress;

a female in her 20s, case status in progress;

a female in her 20s, case status in progress;

a female in her 20s, case status in progress;

a male in his 40s, at home and in isolation;

a female in her 60s, case status in progress;

a female in her 70s, hospitalized;

a male in his 70s, at home and in isolation;

a male in his 70s, at home and in isolation;

a female in her 80s, at home and in isolation;

a male in his 80s, at home and in isolation;

a female in her 90s, at home and in isolation.

<h3 class="breakHead">Gallatin County</h3>

a male in his 40s, at home and in isolation;

a male in his 50s, at home and in isolation;

a female in her 50s, at home and in isolation.

On Sunday, EHD reported six new Saline County cases along with eight White County cases.

a female in her 20s, at home and in isolation;

a female in her 60s, at home and in isolation;

Please note: a male in his 20s, reported Oct. 10 has been transferred to his local health department.

<h3 class="breakHead">White County</h3>

a female in her 20s, at home and in isolation;

a female in her 30s, case status in progress;

a male in his 40s, at home and in isolation;

a female in her 60s, case status in progress;

a male in his 60s, at home and in isolation;

a female in her 80s, at home and in isolation;

a male in his 80s, at home and in isolation;

a male in his 80s, at home and in isolation.

On Saturday, EHD reported three cases in Saline County and three in White County.

Friday, the health department reported eight Saline County cases, three Gallatin County cases and six White County cases.

Saline County has had a total of 470 positives, including six deaths; White County has had a total of 215 positives and one death; and Gallatin County has a total of 93 positives, including two deaths.

Saline County is a part of the Illinois Health Department's Region 5, and is facing the possibility of stricter measures being put in place to stem the spread of COVID-19.
