Obituary: Rickey Hoyt Weaver

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Rickey Hoyt Weaver, 66, of Eldorado, passed away at 8:42 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012, at his residence.

Rickey was born in Harrisburg on July 25, 1945, a son of the late Catherine (McMichael) and Hoyt B. Weaver.

He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

He worked as a Coal Miner at Eagle No. 2 and Black Beauty for Peabody Coal Company prior to retirement.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War as a second class petty officer aboard the USS Kittyhawk.

He was the husband of Jeanna A. (Connett) Weaver, who survives.

Rickey is survived by four daughters, Tami L. (Eric) Zacovic of Pennsylvania; Sharon (Richard) Fitzpatrick of Galatia; Kelli (Blake) Wiseman of Missouri; Traci (Jeff) Babcock, of Mt. Olive; four sons, Daniel Evans of Eldorado. J.R. (Roni) Waychoff of Harrisburg, Ronnie R. (Rachael) Goben Waychoff of Eldorado and the Rev. Michael (Lynelyn) Weaver of Eldorado; a sister, Brenda K. (Jay) Foutch, of Galatia; several grandchildren, Hunter, Dalton, Derrick, Evan, Lindy, Dmitri, Keyandre, Nikolas, Makayla, Justin, Brittany, Dara, Ryan, Carolee and Taylin; one great-grandson, Alex; two nieces, Penny (Larry) Hofstetter of Dupo and Amie Keck of Mascoutah; and mother-in-law, Louise Connett of Eldorado.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son and daughter, Billie and Melissa Evans; and his father-in-law, Bill Connett.

Funeral service will be held at College Heights Baptist Church at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, with the Rev. Mike Weaver and the Rev. Harl Cockrum officiating. Burial will be in Raleigh Masonic Cemetery in Raleigh with military honors.

Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012, at the funeral home.
