Peoria Heights investigating possibility of tourist-attraction development

A teen and senior center. A fitness club. A hotel. Restaurants, condos, even a brew pub.

Peoria Heights officials and developers are moving forward with plans to transform the vacant Cohen's warehouse building and surrounding area into a semi-tourist attraction that, if developed as planned, could provide community services, education and training, entertainment, housing, a hotel and visitors center and retail along with youth and senior outreach centers.
