OBITUARY: Billy Joe Crunk

Billy Joe Crunk, 80 of Junction, passed away 12:06 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.

He was born April 18, 1934, in Old Shawneetown, the son of Joe and Tillie Dillard Crunk. He was married to Loretta Horton Crunk, who survives.

He owned Silver Dollar Furniture store and later the Crossroads Furniture store. He was a member of the Jehovah's Witness.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta; sons, Timothy Crunk of New York, Buster Howard and Ronnie (Kim) Howard of Harrisburg; four daughters, Linda and Terry Cooper of St. Louis, Mo., Detra and Matt Becker of Valparaiso, Ind., Trudy Howard of Harrisburg and Margo and Roger Troutt of Junction; one brother, Bubbo Heath of Shawneetown; one sister, Carolyn Heath of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Maria; one brother, Ronnie; and one granddaughter, Tiffany Troutt.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014, at the J. M. Weirauch Funeral Home with Charles Zito officiating and burial in Westwood Cemetery at Shawneetown. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
