Obituary: Lewis “Woody” Reeder
Lewis "Woody" Reeder, 79, formerly of Eldorado, and presently of Silver Springs, Florida died Monday, March 2, 2015 at Ocala Regional Medical Center. He was born July 6, 1935 in Eldorado, Illinois, the son of the late Lewis Reeder and Carrie (Phelps) Reeder. Woody was a heavy equipment operator and proud member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150 for more than 40 years. He had a longtime passion for cars and motorcycles, was an avid NASCAR fan, especially enjoyed watching the Miami Heat win, and couldn't pass up a slot machine. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Darlene Reeder of Silver Springs, Florida; three sons, Rodney Reeder of Rockford, Rick Reeder of Dixon, Edward Reeder of Glendale Heights; three daughters, Alice Reeder of Silver Springs, Florida, Natalie Matthews of Green Cove Springs, Florida, Amanda Wolfe of Tampa, Florida, six granddaughters, Rachel Becker, Stephanie Calabrese, Nicole Peyton, Dezeray Wolfe, Kate Matthews, Haley Wolfe; 6 grandsons, Cory Reeder, Cole Reeder, G. Tyler Matthews, Zachary Reeder, Edward Reeder, Anthony Wolfe; one great granddaughter Lydia Becker. Services will be held Saturday, June 27, 2015. The family will receive friends at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home, Saturday, June 27 from 10 until 11 a.m. with services beginning at 11 a.m. A graveside funeral service will immediately follow at Douglass Cemetery, Eldorado with Rev.
