Raccoon tests positive for rabies after biting dog

A raccoon that got into a tussle with a dog last week tested positive for rabies in the Massachusetts Department of Public Health State Laboratory.

The rabies case is the first in town for sometime, said Northborough Health Agent Jamie Terry, but the disease is on the rise in Worcester County.
