OBITUARY: Marjorie E. Mitchell

Marjorie E. Mitchell, 84 of 1065 Town Park Road, Harrisburg, died 12:03 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, Ind.

Memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, April 17, 2015, at Salem Cemetery in Carrier Mills. There will be no visitation and all friends and family should go directly to the cemetery. The Rev. Dewayne Taylor will officiate. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills have been entrusted with the services.

She was born on Feb. 26, 1931, in East St. Louis to the late Theodore Lawrence and Lodemia (Vaupel) Pollard.

She married Robert G. "Bob" Mitchell on March 18, 1950, and he preceded in death on Oct. 13, 1998.

She was employed for over 30 years as a Pharmacy Technician at Hearn Pharmacy and later at Banks Pharmacy in Carrier Mills.

She is survived by two sons: Jim (Ronda) Mitchell of Carrier Mills and Joe (Maggie) Mitchell of Stonefort; three grandchildren: Kerry Mitchell of Carrier Mills, Kurtis Mitchell of St. Louis, Mo., Katie (Joe) Whiting of Harrisburg; three great-grandchildren: Gavin Bradley of Carrier Mills, Emma Grace Whiting and Ella Kate Whiting, both of Harrisburg; and two sisters: Luella (Sonny) Nugent of Harrisburg and Lulabelle Illiff of Eldorado.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and four brothers.
