Do it Yourself: How to buy a snow blower
If this is the year that you will invest in a snow thrower, you have four things to consider.
First, you need to evaluate your needs to decide if you need a single-stage machine or a two-stage machine. Second, you need to determine if you would like the option of an electric start. It can really make the task easier on a nasty snowy day.
Third, where you purchase your snow blower or snow thrower is important. Look for a store that will fully assemble, adjust and test run your purchase.
Finally, once you get home with your machine, read the directions. Know how to stop it quickly.
