FANTASY FOOTBALL: Week 6 picks feature Packers stack

Week six of the NFL season brings some predictable daily fantasy sports matchups. The picks in last week's article resulted in a goose egg and an injury. Owen Daniels had the best matchup on the board but was held without a catch and Jamaal Charles went down for the year.

This week we will focus on some of the best options on the week which need to be mixed in with value plays to stay under the salary cap. The top prize awarded this week in daily fantasy for the NFL is the $1.2 million for first place is the DraftKings Milly Maker with an entry fee of $20. 2nd place is $500K and 3rd place is $250K. FanDuel is offering a top prize of $1 million for its $25 Sunday Million contest.

QB Aaron Rodgers

Rodgers is one of the last elite quarterbacks in a league of inconsistent play and injuries at the position. Without a consistent Manning, Luck or Brees it's only Brady and Rodgers at the top of the position right now. Rodgers plays out of his mind at home and gets the Chargers on a short week after a heart breaking last second loss. While The Chargers are softest in the run game they leave a lot to be desired in the secondary as well

RB Matt Forte

The Detroit Lions are a complete mess on both offense and defense. I don't see how they can turn it around this season while the Bears have found a way to win with less talent. Forte caught a last second TD pass in Arrowhead Stadium and gets a toothless Lion defense while also leading the league in touches with a 120. Even with Alshon Jeffery expected to return Forte is still the focal point of the offense.

WR Randall Cobb

In DFS "Stacking" Is when you pair a WR and QB together on the same team. It's not required in Cash games but is a must in a tournament. When QB and WR connect on the same team it's like double points. For example, for each pass and catch both players get points for yardage, Cobb gets points for catches and if they connect for a TD both get points for a TD. If they should so happen to go off it can carry your team to victory.

TE Tyler Eifert

The Bengals are surging while the Bills are dealing with an injury to Tyrod Taylor. The Bills defense looks great on paper but as been getting shred through the air ranking in the bottom 10 against the tight end position. Eifert and Dalton have developed a special connection while Tyler ranks top 3 at the position this year.

Defense Minnesota Vikings

The Chiefs, as mentioned above, took a heart-breaking loss to the Bears at home and now have to travel to Minnesota. While the Vikings defense looked awful in week 1 they have really come on the last several weeks. The Chiefs have trouble at offensive line and the Vikings have a hard hitting safety in Harrison Smith to go along with a fierce pass rush.
