Name misplaced on ballot for Tuesday's Fall River primary
<font size="2"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">City Council candidate Gus Suneson is raising charges of incompetence after discovering an error on the ballot to be used in Tuesday's primary election.</span></font>

Suneson said he woke up Thursday morning and examined a reprint of the specimen ballot published in The Herald News Voters Guide and found his name is located in the wrong place among the list of council candidates.
Instead of appearing in alphabetical order following Ernie B. Silva, Suneson's name appears between Leo O. Pelletier and Linda M. Pereira. There are 29 candidates for nine council seats, and Tuesday's primary will pare the field to 18.
"This is unacceptable," Suneson said. "This is a routine procedure and this is a show of incompetence for whoever put together and printed this ballot. I find this very disconcerting."
Suneson said he has spoken to Board of Election Commissioner Maureen Glisson about the error and was told she would check with the Secretary of State's office about any possible correction.
Even so, Suneson said it may be too late considering that absentee ballots have already been mailed and some have likely already been filled out and returned.
"When I look at the ballot and I don't even see my own name in the right spot … If I'm confused then what's that going to say for everyone else," Suneson said.</span></font>
