OBITUARY: Dixie R. Ralston

Dixie R. Ralston, 74 of the Wasson community, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013, at her residence.

She was born in Eldorado on Aug. 3, 1939, to the late Harry E. and Bessie L. (Barton) Ralston. She was a homemaker and a Protestant by faith. She loved her animals which were her "babies."

She is survived by a brother Gary (Linda) Ralston of Eldorado; three sisters, Sharon Karns of Wasson, Dorothy Tice of Olney and Freda Brewer of Pana. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews including: Amanda (Chuck) Fitzpatrick of Harrisburg, Keith (Renee) Karns of Harrisburg, David Karns of Harrisburg, Shane Ralston of Eldorado, Gary (Joan) Ralston of Pope County, Tawana (Greg) Mullett of New Athens; and a great-niece Brittney Ralston. Also survived by a good friend Barbara Lee Barns of Eldorado.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Emil Ralston; a sister, Martha Simpson; and a nephew, Michael Shawn Ralston.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013, at the Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado. Burial will be Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at Watson Funeral Home.
