Obituary: Cassanda Virginia Gail Gwaltney

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Cassanda Virginia Gail Gwaltney, 20, of Eldorado, passed away Friday, Nov. 25, 2011, at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.

Cassie was born in Evansville, Ind., on Dec. 14, 1990, a daughter of Sandra Pearl (Rister) and John Michael Gwaltney, both who survive.

In addition to her parents, Cassie is survived by her fiance, Brady Ashby of Eldorado; maternal grandfather, Landis Rister of Eldorado; two sisters, Maryann (Kern) Bynum of Eldorado and Connie (Adam) Givins of Eddyville; four brothers, David Horton of Eldorado, Noah Horton of Vermont, Johnny (Kia) Gwaltney of Goreville and Shaun (Betty) Gwaltney of Eddyville; special aunts and uncles, Judy Poole, Landa Rister and Donald Petty; nieces and nephews, C.J. Horton, Matthew Horton, Stephanie Horton, Abigail Horton, Isiah Horton, Briley Givins, Noah Gwaltney, Hailey Gwaltney, Triton Gwaltney and Taylor Gwaltney.

Cassie was preceded in death by her son, Kamdyn Michael Wayne Ashby; maternal grandmother, Mary Rister; and paternal grandparents, John Ox Gwaltney and Mary Virginia Gwaltney.

Funeral service will be held at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, with Blake Bradley officiating. Burial will be in Douglas Cemetery.

Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA and can be left at the funeral home.
