OBITUARY: Emmitt Dwayne Karns

Emmitt Dwayne Karns, 76, resident of Eldorado, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Ridgway Rehabiliation and Nursing Center.

Wayne was born Sept. 8, 1937, in Eldorado to the late William C. and Lola Irene (Young) Karns. He retired from Sahara Mining. Wayne is survived by a son, John W. (Cathy) Karns; three daughters, Beth (Charles) Partain of Harrisburg, Angie Webb of Eldorado, Susan Willis of Eldorado; a brother, Ray Karns of Evansville, Ind.; a sister, Martha Albert of Eldorado; seven grandchildren, Lindsey Karns, Sara Karns, Erin Karns, Sean Partain, Ryan Webb, Dylan Webb, Carson Karns; five great-grandchildren, Sierra, Isiah, Kelsey, Taylor and Bailey. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Karns and a infant sister Cleta June Karns.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2014, at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home with the Rev. Randall Sork officiating. Burial will be in Cottage Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. Tuesday to service time.
