OBITUARY: Edna Mae Sugg
Edna Mae Sugg, 91, of Harrisburg passed away at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, at the Shawnee Rose Care Center in Harrisburg.
Edna was born on Dec. 20, 1923, in Sikeston, Mo., to the late Chester and Mary Jane (Tadlock) Cletcher. She married Andy Sivok in 1941 and he preceded her in death in 1984. In 1989 she married Royal Sugg and he preceded her in death in 2008.
She was an active member of McKinley Avenue Baptist Church with dinners and WMU, and she worked in soup kitchens and clothing pantries.
Surviving family members include a son, Michael and wife Susan Sivok, Concord, Calif.; daughter, Kathleen Ryder of Harrisburg; five grandchildren, Emily Sivok, Marinda Sivok, Georgia Nelson, Lesa Meijas and Jeffrey Bissey; four great-grandchildren, Abigail Nelson, Skylar Meijas, Joey Capetilla, and Taylor Bissey; two brothers, James Cletcher of Crest Hill and Kenneth Cletcher of Eldorado; and a sister, Jean (Gene) Fox of Harrisburg.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; a daughter, Sharon Schwaninger; two brothers, Francis Cletcher and William Cletcher; and a sister, Cassie Schneider
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Billy Dye, Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow in Big Ridge Cemetery in Harrisburg.
