OBITUARY: William A. Vaughn

William A. Vaughn, age 57 of Harrisburg, passed away Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at his residence.

He was born on June 30, 1956, in Altus, Okla., to the late Harry and Mary (Brookbank) Vaughn. He was an office clerk for H.E. Mitchell Construction, was a member of the Harrisburg Masonic Lodge and APA and Valley Pool Assoc. William married Vickie Travelstead on Aug. 25, 1989, and she survives.

In addition to his wife Vickie he is survived by two sons: Cory Vaughn and Colton Vaughn both of Harrisburg; brother Michael and wife Diane Vaughn of Simpson; two sisters: Marcha and husband Jim Smith of Chatham; and Cathy and husband Steve Gilbert of Carrier Mills; nieces and nephews: Steven Paul Gilbert, Daydra Waide, Casey Fritts, Justin Waide, Ashley Ellison, Melanie Ellison, Jaimie Smith, Bridget Reynolds and Angie Reaves; and several aunts and uncles.

William was preceded in death by his parents; a nephew: Rodney Vaughn; and a great-nephew: Jaimie Waide.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at Reed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday Nov. 18, 2013, at Reed Funeral Chapel.
