OBITUARY: Anna Mae Carter

Anna Mae Carter, 66 of Stonefort, passed away 5:40 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at her residence in Stonefort.

She was born Nov. 14, 1946, in Hardin County near Sparks Hill to Lawrence and Edith Burklow Lane. She had married Archie Carter in 1964 and he survives. Ann was a loving and devoted mother and a proud and doting grandmother.

Survivors include a son, Ricky Carter of Herod; two daughters, Tina (Darren) Kluge and Jenny (Michael) Morris, both of Harrisburg; three brothers, J.C., Don and Jim Lane, all of Karbers Ridge; and three sisters, Wanda McNear of Norris City, Sally Barnes of Karbers Ridge, Opal Fields of the Leamington Community and Susie Moore of Rosiclare; a special cousin, Charles (Bud) Lane of Cave-In-Rock; six grandchildren, Kevin Carter, Cheyann Boatright, Caleb Boatright, Marshall Miller, Dawson Miller and Addison Duncan.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Bill Lane; and one sister, Wilma (Pud) McBride.

Family graveside services preceded burial Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, in Lane-Winters Cemetery near Karbers Ridge with the Rev. Harold Miller officiating. The J.M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg was in charge of arrangements.
