</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[After a long battle with multiple health problems, Marlene (Sanders) Asa went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 27, 2009. Her family knows she is now healed of all that afflicted her. She will be sorely missed by her church family at Faith Baptist Church in Belleville, however, we live with the assurance that we will meet again and live in Heaven for eternity because of what the risen Jesus Christ did for us.
She was born on Feb. 21, 1953, and was married in 1970 to William Asa, who survives her along with two daughters, Angela Asa and Andrea (Walter) Sonnenberg. Also going to miss her terribly are her four grandchildren, Lila Guerra, Isaiah Sonnenberg, William Sonnenberg and Noel Sonnenberg. Also surviving are two brothers, Virgil (Kathy) Sanders and Owen (Janice) Sanders; and two sisters, Susan (William) Stacy and Patti (Jackie) Potts. Marlene's mother and father, Rosemary and Virgil Sanders, preceded her in death along with her youngest sister, Kathi.
