Decision made by U.S. Forest Service to log 200 acres of pine

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Hidden Springs Ranger District of the Shawnee National Forest has decided to implement the Harris Branch Restoration of Hardwoods Project, removing 200 acres of pine using a shelterwood harvest method.

The Harris Branch site is 3 miles southeast of Karbers Ridge in Hardin County. The decision is subject to appeal.
