Obituary: Tyler Steven Goldsberry
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Tyler Steven Goldsberry, 18, of Eldorado, passed away at 1:26 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, at his residence.
Tyler was born in Litchfield on Sept. 13, 1993, a son of Lin S. (Goldsberry) Payne and Joey P. Durbin, both who survive.
Tyler was a student at Eldorado High School where he was known by many of his classmates as "G". There he was a member of the track and cross country teams.
Tyler was enlisted to join the United States Navy following graduation from high school.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his stepfather, Eddie Payne; stepmother, Rona Durbin; three sisters, Shandi Payne of Eldorado, Deanna Payne of Eldorado and Tasha Payne of Evansville, Ind.; four brothers, Cory (Heather) Lamprich of Eldorado, Bubby (Tara) Payne of McLeansboro, Nick Perry of East Moline and Devin Durbin of East Moline; maternal grandparents are Pam Rogers of Galesburg and Judy Goldsberry of East Moline; a special cousin, Kirsten Foshee; and very special friend, Joseph Gwaltney.
Tyler was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Steven Goldsberry; and paternal grandparents, Arthur Durbin and Dorothy Whitlow.
Funeral service will be held at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012 with the Rev. Aaron Phelps officiating. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery.
Visitation is 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at the funeral home.
