Leonard Daniel French Jr.

Leonard Daniel French Jr. age 63, of Marion, passed away Wednesday September 30, 2015.

He was born May 9, 1952 in Knoxville, TN to the late Leonard Daniel French, Sr. and Lena Henderson French, On March 3, 1973 he married Donna Hayden and she survives in Marion. Leonard was a correctional Officer at IYC in Harrisburg. He was an Air Force Veteran, an EMT while living in Lockport, IL and a volunteer firefighter in Williamson County. Leonard was a member of Freewill Baptist Church in Pittsburg.

Survivors include his wife Donna of Marion; daughter: Angela and husband Daniel Knudsen of Plainfield, IL; son: Mark and wife Staci French of Taylorville, IL; son: Brian French of Marion; son: J.D. Rushing French of Marion; 8 grandchildren: Stephanie Knudsen; Alex Knudsen, Megan Knudsen, Sonja Knudsen, Brett French, Eric French, Aiden French, and Conner French; 1 great-grandchild: Benjamin James Freehan; Sister: Peggy Lynn and husband Bob Compton of Kentucky; sister: Linda and husband Dave Day of Springfield, IL; brother: Larry and wife Nita French of Lockport, IL; and brother: Lonnie and wife Marsha French of Lockport, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Leonard and Lena French; and brother: Leonard Daniel French, Jr. in infancy.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Rev. Eddie Dolson will officiate. Burial will be in Twitchell Cemetery in Rosiclare. Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM, Saturday October 3, 2015 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg.
