Obituary: Evelyn Irene King

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Evelyn Irene King, 95, a resident of Stonefort, died 1:40 a.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012, at her residence.

She was born on May 12, 1916, in Saline County to Brack Evetts and Kate (Cowsert) Evetts. She was married to Jerry King, and he preceded her in death.

She was a member of Antioch Church in Stonefort.

She is survived by a daughter, Donna Emery of Stonefort; three sons, Rick King of Hendersonville, N.C., Charles Wilson of Pittsburg and Kenneth Shaw of Ocala, Fla.; a sister, Dorothy Chaffin of Stonefort; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Omer Wilson; and three brothers, Bob Evetts, Charles Elbert Evetts and Ralph Evetts.

Visitation is 9 a.m. to service time at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012, at the Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home, Carrier Mills. Burial will be in Henshaw Cemetery, Stonefort.
