</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Pauline Stamps Beeler, 97, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2012.

Born in Carroll County, Ga., on Feb. 7, 1915, she was the daughter of Delos Carroll Stamps, Sr. and Clyde Pauline Brock Stamps. She grew up on a farm in Georgia, where she learned many of her skills in gardening and working with animals. Her fondness for flowers, especially irises and dogs and cats started early in her life. Her work ethic and frugal spirit that served her so well during the Depression and throughout her life has been an example to others in the family. She married William Louis Beeler in 1942 in Cape Girardeau, Mo. They had one son, Carroll Robert Beeler, who was born in 1943. Pauline went to nursing school and became an LVN. For the next 20 years, nursing was a very enjoyable part of her life. This experience was very valuable during the last four years of her life at Riverview Nursing Home in Boerne, Texas, where she entertained the staff with her dry sense of humor and "helped" them run the nursing station. Thanks so much to the staff of Riverview and Harbour Hospice for their kindness.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Louis; son, Carroll Robert; brother, Benjamim Moreland Stamps; and sister, Marion Phillips Macy.

Pauline is survived by her granddaughter, Lee Elizabeth Rodriguez and husband, Victor; five great-grandchildren, Lucinda, Nicholas, Jacob, Timothy and Abigail; daughter-in-law, Judith (Scottie) Beeler; brother, Delos Carroll Stamps, Jr.; and nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on June 28, 2012, at Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Harrisburg. To leave a message for the family, please visit the Internet site www.vaughanfuneralhome.com.
