OBITUARY: Ja Shawn Jamal Tate

Ja Shawn Jamal Tate, 21 of 508 East Washington Street, Carrier Mills, died Thursday, March 26, 2015, as the result of a house fire.

Funeral services were held 1 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2015, at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills. Visitation was held 11 a.m. Sunday until service time. Pastor Louis James officiated and burial was in Lakeview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to help with funeral expenses; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

He was born on Aug. 23, 1993, in Herrin, IL to Mark Tate and Tonya (Davis) Tate whom both survive.

Other survivors include: three brothers: Tevin Tate of Carrier Mills, Adam Tate and Blake Tate both of Harrisburg; sister: Ebony Tate of Harrisburg; grandmother: Mary M. Day of Carrier Mills; niece: Delia Tate of Stonefort; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
