Ellis Grove woman injured in crash near Moto Mart

<p class="p1">A two-vehicle accident on Aug. 19 near Moto Mart in Chester sent a 91-year-old Ellis Grove woman to the hospital with moderate injuries.

<p class="p1">According to a news release from the Chester Police Department, Violet M. Feaman was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Lumina southbound in the 400 block of West Holmes St. when she struck a 2011 Chevrolet Suburban driven by 62-year-old Ricky J. Brown (also of Ellis Grove).

<p class="p1">Brown's vehicle was stopped in the southbound lane due to traffic when Feaman rear-ended the Silverado.

<p class="p1">Feaman was transported to Chester Memorial Hospital by MedStar Ambulance, while Brown was not injured.

<p class="p1">Feaman was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. The accident was reported at 1 p.m.
