OBITUARY: John A. Metten

John A. Metten, 75, resident of Eldorado, passed away Monday, Dec. 29, 2014, at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.

John was born Oct. 26, 1939, in Eldorado to the late Aidan and Helen (Warren) Metten.

He was a carpenter by trade.

He is survived by three sons, Mark A. Metten of Evansville, Ind., James B. (Brandi) Metten of Eldorado and Michael J. (Michelle) Metten of Eldorado; a daughter, Denise Boatright of Eldorado; seven grandchildren, Courtney R. (Tim) Drone of Eldorado, Dakota R. (Megan) Metten of Carrier Mills, Dawson J. Metten of Eldorado, Cortney D. Byers of Eldorado, Logan Kanady of Eldorado, Camren D. Boatright of Eldorado and Cheyenne N. Boatright of Eldorado; and five great-grandchildren, Landon M. Metten, Hudson M. Drone, Hunter R. Byers, Karsyn J. Metten and Kaylin G. Metten.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2015, at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with the Rev. Mark Finnie officiating. Cremation will follow the funeral services. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to service time Friday.
