Kenneth Dale Hathaway
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Kenneth Dale Hathaway, 69, of Harrisburg, passed away at 12:10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 4, 2010, at his home.
He was born on July 28, 1941, in Saline County to Lavern and the late Earl Hathaway. He married Phyllis June Hunt on July 8, 1961, in Harrisburg, who survives.
He worked for the Bunge Corporation at Ridgway and Shawneetown for several years. He was a farmer and former owner of Hathaway's Feed Store. He was the owner of Hathaway's One Stop. He was a member of the board of trustees for Southeastern Illinois Electric Cooperative for 11 years. Kenneth was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife Phyllis, Kenneth is also survived by his mother, Lavern Hathaway of Harrisburg; his children, Randy Hathaway, Mike (Kay) Hathaway and Lynn (Angie) Hathaway, all of Harrisburg; his grandchildren, Andrea (Ronnie) Pullum, Kendra (Joe) Kuhlmann, Adam (Savannah) Hathaway, Robert Hathaway, Justin Hathaway and Dylan Hathaway, all of Harrisburg; his great-grandchildren, Keeli and Aubrey Pullum, Cameron Kuhlmann and Tinsley and Aiden Hathaway, all of Harrisburg; his brothers, Donald (Delores) Hathaway of Golconda and John (Shelia) Hathaway of Harrisburg; and his sister, Lanell (Les) Sittig of Harrisburg. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. The Rev. Leroy Hicks will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Harrisburg. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010 at Reed Funeral Chapel. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Macedonia Baptist Church, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
