Dale Wayne Courtney

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Dale Wayne Courtney, 43, of 124 W. Benton St., Equality, passed away Monday, Oct. 12, 2009, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

He was born Oct. 5, 1966, in Providence, Ky., the son of John Courtney and Mildred (Nichols) Pease. Dale married Kimberly D. Ewell on June 11, 1988.

He worked at Precision Mine Repair in Ridgway.

Dale is survived by his wife, Kimberly D. Courtney of Equality; a daughter, Kasey and Josh Harner of Eldorado; two sons, Joshua and Nicholas Courtney, both of Equality; his mother, Mildred "Millie" Pease of Harrisburg; two sisters, Rose and Randy Hess of Morganfield, Ky. and Sherri and Jack Gwaltney of Norris City; four brothers, Rick Wayne of Harrisburg, John Courtney of Evansville, Ind., Corkey Courtney of New Harmony, Ind. and Butch Courtney of Ohio; father and mother-in-law, Don and Rita Ewell of Equality; sister and brother-in-law, Angie and Doug Drone of Ridgway; brother-in-law, Tony Ewell of Equality; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Courtney; three brothers, Bruce Cowan, Joe Cowan and Jerry Buchanan; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Courtney and Mr. and Mrs. Arlan Nichols.

Visitation for Dale will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, at the Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at the Equality Christian Center in Equality with the Rev. Allen Porter officiating. Burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery near Morganfield, Ky.
