Prep Volleyball: Eagles win in straight sets over Vienna

The Eldorado High School volleyball team won in straight sets over Vienna Wednesday night, beating the Eagles 25-14 and 25-14.

In the contest, Mary Mitchell was 4-for-4 on sets and 7-for-9 on spikes with five serving points, one ace and 12 digs.

Rachel Durham went 30-for-30 on sets and 6-for-8 on spikes. Durham was 8-for-10 from the line with 11 points and 10 digs.

Brooklynn Peavler had a perfect line, going 2-for-2 on sets and 5-for-5 on spikes with two kills. She also went 8-for-8 at the line with eight points, one ace and nine digs, while Abby Steed was 4-for-4 on sets and 16-for-17 on spikes with seven kills. The senior went 8-for-9 at the line with 10 points, two aces and 10 digs.

Lexi Clore was 4-for-4 on sets and 1-for-1 on spikes. Clore finished 5-for-5 serving with five points and seven digs, while Kaitlyn McGuire was 2-for-2 on spikes and 10-for-10 on serves with 11 points, five aces and five digs.

Jordan Bailey was 11-for-13 on spikes with one kill and four digs, while Whitney McGuire was 2-for-3 on spikes with one kill and one dig.

Samantha Boulds had five digs and Tia Briddick was 1-for-1 on sets with three digs.

Additionally, the EHS junior varsity and freshmen teams both won as well.

Eldorado was scheduled to play at Carmi-White County Thursday night.
