Prep Baseball: Gallatin Co. gets by Galatia
The Gallatin County High School baseball team knocked off conference foe Galatia 12-2 Friday.
Hunter Walters got the win for the Hawks, going 3 1/3 innings, giving up two earned runs and striking out five.
Patrick Clark went 1 2/3 innings, striking out four.
At the dish, Kory Hise paced the Gallatin County offense, going 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI and a run scored.
Thomas York also had a multiple hit day, driving in one and scoring a run, while Clay Pritchard, Seth Ramsey, Steven Robinson, Hunter Walters, Dustin Oldham and Josh Smith all had one hit.
Ramsey, Oldham and Smith all had an RBI, while Pritchard and Ramsey each scored a pair of runs. Robinson, Hise, Walters, Clark, Oldham and Nathan Shults all scored one run.
Gallatin County is scheduled to play at Goreville today at 4 p.m.
